Metal riffs and a broken trailer

30.09.11

Me and Kjetil had a little jam session last night , in the church hall which is now our living room.
I played bass guitar at first and he played the drums. After a couple of lame metal riffs I went over to church organ. It’s my thing. First time I’ve ever made a song on such an instrument. With dimmed light crowns hanging from the ceiling and big windows whispering along,  we hammered away.
Therapy.

We’ ve been out on the road for two weeks. The trailer broke down the last day  and my friend got robbed in the middle of the night so it wasn’t exactly a happy ending. But before that, Årabrot played some really good shows and I was invited to a bunch of DJ gigs. One of them was at the opening of the Oslo architecture festival. I played music to beautiful pictures and films of Norwegian architecture at Vulkan in Oslo.  My KORG MS 20 is a drag to carry around, but what a playmate. Need to buy new patch cables though. The once I have is rotten.

I also met up with my friend who was in Oslo for the Queer festival. We exchanged a couple of anarchistic/feministic thoughts in a high ceiling bar before the wine caught us and we moved on to more sexy subjects.
We had lovely Libanese food. Meza.
Drove the 6 hour drive home the next day.
Home sweet home.

Back to beats and Diet Coke.
